A well-executed annual celebration for 3,000 guests at DTU – Technical University of Denmark
A major event requires major preparation. Months of planning and coordination went into the evening, and nothing was left to chance.
From table settings, food and service to stacking the very last chairs, a Compass team of around 70 chefs, 200 waiters and numerous kitchen porters stood ready to ensure that every detail was perfectly in place for DTU’s annual celebration.
The menu was carefully planned from the first course to the final bite: a vegetarian starter with carrot tartare and curry emulsion, a social dining main course inspired by world cuisines, and a modern take on the traditional Danish dessert rødgrød with vanilla, rhubarb and crumble to finish.
“For an event of this size, success depends on working together – both with the client and across our own teams. A great deal of preparation goes into it, and when the day arrives, it’s all about making everything work in practice,” says Anja Adelgaard, Client Manager at Compass Group.
The effort did not go unnoticed. As DTU Operations Consultant Gitte Hallingskov says:
“Compass Group delivered solid and professional work. We would like to give great praise for their high quality and flexibility – it is a pleasure to collaborate with a supplier you can fully trust on such a large-scale assignment.”
We are proud to have been part of an evening like this and of the strong partnership with DTU that makes it possible to deliver an event of this scale.
But above all, the credit belongs to the colleagues who, with professional pride, passion and true Compass spirit, made everything come together seamlessly.
