Congratulations to our six newly qualified graduates from Glad Fonden!
At Compass Group, we are proud to celebrate six students who have successfully completed Glad Fonden’s two-year flex education programme in one of our staff restaurants at a customer site.
Glad Fonden is a social enterprise that helps people with cognitive disabilities and diverse learning needs gain qualifications and move closer to employment through education and meaningful work opportunities.
That is why we highly value our partnership with Glad Fonden. Throughout the programme, the students make an important contribution in the kitchen while developing their professional skills in a real working environment. At the same time, they gain the experience and confidence needed to prepare for working life.
“Our partnership with Glad Fonden is built on a shared ambition to give more people the opportunity to complete an education and become part of a workplace community. We are proud to be part of a collaboration that makes a real difference to each individual student,” says Thais Brask-Simonsen, Head of HR Services and Apprenticeship Manager at Compass Group.
The impact of the programme extends beyond graduation. From our previous group of students, two have since been employed in flex jobs with the customer where they completed their education. It is an achievement we are proud of – and one that has only been possible because our customer welcomed the students as a natural part of the team.
The commitment shown by both colleagues and the daily guests helps create a safe and supportive learning environment where students can develop, grow and succeed.
For Customer Manager Mathias Perk, who leads the collaboration with the customer, it is the close partnership between the students, colleagues and the customer that makes the programme truly special.
“They have made a positive impact on our workplace and reminded us all how much diversity, commitment and different perspectives enrich our teams,” says Mathias Perk.
Congratulations once again to all of our newly qualified graduates – and thank you to Glad Fonden for a strong and valuable partnership.
