We encourage anyone with an interest in Compass Group’s business to speak up if something doesn’t feel right or if inappropriate circumstances or behavior occur.

Our employees’ anonymous channel

Speak Up is a global Compass service where our employees can anonymously voice concerns about actions and behaviors they may feel are inappropriate, unsafe, unethical, or even illegal. This also includes topics they may not feel comfortable discussing with their supervisors or through normal channels. Employees can use this option via a confidential telephone hotline or a website, operated by an independent specialized provider, available 24/7.

A shared responsibility

Our reputation rests on the standards we have set for the quality of the services we provide, as well as our operational controls and routines, our ethics, and our integrity. If these standards are compromised, we will undermine our reputation, which poses a threat to the company’s security and future success. We cannot allow such a thing to happen. We share a responsibility to ensure that our company is run professionally, safely, ethically, and legally.

How does Speak Up work?

The Speak Up program is confidential and allows our employees to raise concerns where they feel there is a threat to their own safety, their colleagues’ safety, or the safety of our customers and business partners. They can also report if they feel that our standards or reputation are at risk. All inquiries are handled by an independent partner who is not employed by Compass Group.

Every report made through Speak Up is absolutely confidential, and there is no requirement for you to provide your personal information unless you feel comfortable doing so. To ensure a more thorough investigation, it would, of course, be more helpful if you provide your contact information. Each report will be assigned to a specially trained ‘case handler,’ who will initiate a confidential investigation of the issue.

Reporting to External Whistleblower Schemes
The Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) has established an external whistleblower scheme, which complements Compass Group’s obligation to set up an internal whistleblower scheme. Reporting to the Data Protection Agency’s whistleblower scheme is not contingent upon prior reporting to Compass Group’s Speak Up scheme. However, Compass Group encourages whistleblowers to also submit reports to Speak Up, so Compass Group can quickly follow up on reported issues.
