Compass Group Is Ready for Roskilde Festival

Roskilde Festival is just around the corner, and we’re ready to turn up the heat in the kitchen.

This year, we’ll be serving around 100,000 meals – all made with 100% organic ingredients, in line with the festival’s sustainability requirements.

Before and after the festival, we’re also providing meals for the volunteers working in Vor Frue and Hall 45, helping fuel the thousands of people who build the festival from the ground up.

Once the music starts, you’ll find us in three different locations across the festival site.

Wickeed Rabbit: Our plant-based food stall serves vibrant dishes inspired by the flavours of the Middle East and India. Located in The Hang Out, it’s a covered oasis where you and your festival crew can enjoy great food without having to squeeze through the crowds just to grab a bite of naan.

Eat Now: Our seafood concept brings the flavours of the sea to the festival. The menu features everything from moules frites and crab ramen to crisp Caesar salad and perfectly golden French fries. In fact, we expect to serve around two tonnes of fries during the festival.

From sea to shared table: Long communal tables stretching as far as the eye can see, with room for 2,000 guests across the festival’s four music days.

The menu celebrates the Danish summer with crab bisque, line-caught mussels, sustainably caught fish, new Danish potatoes and the classic dessert rødgrød med fløde.

Charlie Heglund, Food Innovation Manager at Compass Group and the creative mind behind the menu, says:

“We wanted to raise the standard of festival food, and I believe we’ve achieved exactly that.”

Around 350 volunteers help make it all happen before, during and after the festival, supporting everything from food preparation and production to serving and clean-up.

They are joined by around 50 colleagues from Compass Group’s head office, who swap their desks for aprons and gloves to lend a hand wherever they’re needed.

We’re looking forward to soaking up the festival atmosphere and serving food that brings people together.

See you at Roskilde Festival!
