Eight apprentices become qualified professionals

Eight of our apprentices can now proudly call themselves qualified professionals.

Seven of our colleagues graduated from the Hotel and Restaurant School in Copenhagen – six as catering specialists with a focus on Danish open-faced sandwiches and catering, and one as a chef. Another apprentice graduated from Techcollege in Aalborg as a gastronomic specialist in Danish open-faced sandwiches and catering.

Congratulations to Binod Pokhrel, Elena-Laura Menea, Mikkel Rützou, Prabin Pokhrel, Thi Le Hong Phan, Winnie Baunkjær, Mazyar Daryaie and Luci Vitug on earning their vocational qualifications.

Several of our graduates received special recognition:

Winnie Baunkjær received the Danish Chamber of Commerce Award, presented to a student expected to make a significant impact on the industry.

Luci Vitug delivered an exceptional performance, earning three top grades (12s), a bronze medal and several additional awards.

Mikkel Rützou was recognised as the class’s Fighter Award recipient.

Most of our newly qualified professionals are already working in our kitchens and completed the EUV1 programme, which enables experienced, unqualified employees to become formally qualified and gain recognition for the skills they have already mastered.

It’s important to me that everyone who has the ability and ambition has the opportunity to earn a professional qualification that helps secure a better future,” says Thais Brask-Simonsen, HR Partner and Apprenticeship Manager at Compass Group.

You have long since proven your ability to deliver great hospitality, outstanding food and an exceptional work ethic.

Now you have the qualification to match. Congratulations to the next generation of culinary professionals!
