Become an apprentice at “Kulinariet”

On Uniform at Work Day, Compass Group highlights the many reservists and volunteers who support Denmark’s defence and emergency preparedness alongside their civilian careers. Both CEO Thomas Kempf and Client Success Director Janus Rønstrup serve in the Danish Armed Forces Reserve and marked the day by wearing their uniforms at work. Organised by InterForce Denmark, the initiative recognises individuals who dedicate their spare time to maintaining critical skills and being ready to serve when needed. Compass Group is proud of their commitment and the valuable experience, leadership and sense of purpose they bring back into the organisation.

Compass Group Denmark is expanding its partnership with DR by taking over the kitchen operations at Restaurant KLANG in DR Concert Hall. The collaboration builds on the company’s existing responsibility for staff dining facilities at DR Byen and DR Aarhus, where around 2,500 meals are served daily. Through Restaurant KLANG, Compass Group will help create the culinary setting for some of Denmark’s largest cultural events. The ambition is to make dining a natural part of the overall concert experience, combining gastronomy, hospitality and culture. The goal is to deliver a seamless guest journey from arrival to the final applause.

The canteen at Copenhagen City Hall has achieved the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, the official Nordic environmental certification for products and services with documented efforts to reduce environmental and climate impact. The certification includes requirements related to organic ingredients, vegetarian meal options, food waste prevention, resource consumption and restrictions on unwanted chemicals. Compass Group, which operates the canteen, has worked closely with the City of Copenhagen to achieve the certification. The result demonstrates that high-quality dining experiences can go hand in hand with ambitious environmental standards. The canteen at Hans Nansen's Court, also operated by Compass Group, holds the same certification.
