Compass Group secured a strong third place at the Danish Lunch Catering Championships, earning recognition among Denmark’s best lunch kitchens. With a menu inspired by seasonal spring ingredients – from green and white asparagus to veal fricassee with Danish potatoes and rhubarb for dessert – the team delivered a lunch experience focused on quality, craftsmanship and seasonality.The result is a testament to the high level of professionalism and daily dedication behind our lunch concept. Compass Group Denmark returned home from this year’s EME Growth Awards in Athens with two awards out of seven possible. Among 150 colleagues from 17 countries, the Danish team was recognised with the “Deal of the Year” and “Peak Performance” awards for strong partnerships, growth and customer collaboration.The recognition is the result of a shared effort across the entire organisation and a strong focus on creating value for customers across the country. Commercial Director Martin Pinstrup emphasises that the awards belong to all colleagues at Compass Group Denmark.The time spent in Athens also provided new inspiration and motivation to raise the level of ambition even further in the future.

Compass Group is globally marking 10 years of Stop Food Waste Day by placing extra focus on reducing food waste in canteens across Denmark. This week, kitchens and guests are competing in the Food Waste Challenge to reduce both buffet waste and plate waste as much as possible.The competition aims to raise greater awareness of food waste and strengthen the initiatives that are already part of everyday life in the canteens. According to Compass Group, the initiative is about both responsibility and collaboration when serving meals to around 100,000 people every day.Already halfway through the challenge, the competitive spirit is high, and the engagement from both kitchens and guests is making a noticeable difference in the fight against food waste.

Henri joined on April 1 and brings more than 18 years of experience from the contract catering industry, including operations and a background as a chef. He understands both customer needs and the realities of everyday kitchen operations, and turns ambitions into solutions that work in practice.Customers will meet a partner who prioritizes understanding their vision before developing solutions. Henri places strong emphasis on relationships, well-being, and great guest experiences.With insight into industry trends and great respect for colleagues in the kitchens, he contributes professionalism, sparring, and a positive attitude.With Henri on board, Compass Group strengthens its development of value-creating canteen solutions for customers and guests.

When PostNord Danmark Rundt returns this summer to bring Denmark together along the country’s roads, it will also mark the beginning of a new partnership with Danmarks Cykle Union. As official hospitality partner, we will from 2026 play a central role in enhancing the VIP and overall experience around the race, while strengthening our efforts within hospitality and events.

We are among the finalists in the competition for Green Canteen Menu of the Year 2026. Leading the team is Head Chef Niclas Grønhøj Møller from our canteen at DR in DR Byen, who together with two colleagues will compete against some of the industry’s strongest green kitchens.
