We are intensifying our fight against food waste

Compass Group aims to contribute to reducing food waste through the One\Thirds reduction agreement 'Denmark Against Food Waste' by the think tank. The agreement will bring us closer to the goal of halving our food waste by 2030.

At Compass Group Denmark, we have no problem making commitments—especially when it comes to protecting the planet.

That’s why we’ve joined ‘Denmark Against Food Waste,’ the voluntary reduction agreement initiated by the think tank One\Third.

The agreement aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goal 12.3, which aims to halve food waste in Denmark’s food sector by 2030.

Change Requires Action

This ambitious goal calls for significant action, and we’re already working purposefully to reach the finish line!

By participating in ‘Denmark Against Food Waste,’ we can collaborate with other food industry players, share knowledge, and inspire each other to take greater responsibility for food waste. Together, we can find solutions to the enormous challenge food waste presents.

“Together, we can innovate, optimize our use of resources, and discover new circular solutions. I’m proud that we are taking the next step to work with others in the industry and develop an entirely new approach to food loss and waste across the value chain,” says Anne-Sofie Hattesen, ESG Manager at Compass Group.

Part of a Broader Agenda

Our participation in this reduction agreement, along with our broader fight against food waste, is just one aspect of our ESG efforts.

The work we’re doing in ESG spans a wide range, and we are proud of our dedicated ESG team.
