We recently received the Integration Award at the City of Esbjerg’s annual awards ceremony. The award recognizes companies or organizations that make a special effort to create inclusive communities and opportunities for everyone in the labor market.
Our Head Chef at TotalEnergies, Henrik Toftemann Dinesen, gave a speech on stage, saying:
“Almost everyone who has completed an internship with us has gone on to employment, and that is no coincidence. It’s because we believe in them and give them the opportunity to believe in themselves. Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey, thank you to the municipality for the collaboration, and thank you to those yet to come. We look forward to getting to know you.”
Behind the award lies several years of close and trust-based collaboration with Jobcenter Esbjerg, as well as a strong partnership with TotalEnergies, where our facility management agreement provides the framework for development, community, and real job opportunities.
In its nomination, Jobcenter Esbjerg highlighted our persistent, human-centered, and structured approach, stating among other things:
“We would like to recognize the company’s significant efforts, their social responsibility, and their big hearts. Over time, their employees have helped improve the quality of life for a great many people.”
As our Head of ESG, Anne-Sofie Hattesen, says:
“Our efforts are not just about offering jobs, but about giving people the opportunity to become part of a community. When they choose to invest their time and commitment with us, it obliges us to support their development and integration. This is a vital part of our responsibility as a company.”
Receiving the Integration Award is a great honor, and we are both proud and grateful to have been nominated—and now selected—as this year’s winner.
It is an important recognition of the efforts of our entire team.
