When Work Becomes a Life Journey: Nancy Honored for 46 Years at Terma

It was a truly special day in the canteen at Terma Group in Lystrup when our CEO, Thomas Kempf, presented Nancy Sabroe Hansen, former canteen assistant, with the King’s Medal of Reward in recognition of 46 years of loyal service.

It has been half a working life filled with smiles, responsibility, and a love for the job that everyone around her has felt.

Nancy started at Terma at the age of 19, and since then she has been part of the heartbeat of the place – energetic, thorough, and always on top of things. She knew every corner of the building and always knew where everything was, and where it should be.

Claus Hesselbjerg Christiansen, Head Chef and Team Leader at Terma in Lystrup, describes Nancy as follows:

“Nancy was our steady hand in everyday life. She followed all guidelines, took responsibility, and did her best every single day. She remembered the little things about people and left her mark on the entire place!”

Asked herself, Nancy explains the secret to her many years of service simply:

“I’ve just been happy with my work. I’ve rarely been sick, never tired of coming in. It has been exciting, and the last 46 years have flown by. I am incredibly proud. It’s a recognition that you’ve done your job for so many years, and done it well.”

Nancy has helped give Terma’s canteen both soul, energy, and structure, and she will be remembered for her dedication, professionalism, and her commitment to doing things properly.

Congratulations on the medal, Nancy. It is more than well deserved!
